Dr. John Murphy
Dr. Murphy spent three years in the Army Dental Corp in Heidelberg, Germany, after his graduation from the Ohio State University School of Dentistry. He began his dedicated commitment to preventive dentistry while in the service and has carried that throughout his carrier. After the service, Dr. Murphy settled in the Stow/Hudson/Cuyahoga Falls/Kent area. He has had his practice and/or his home in one of these neighboring communities over the past 30 years. He always wanted to be a dentist and his devotion to the profession and his patients is second to none.
Dr. Murphy is a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry, which is the most prestigious continuing dental education society for general dentistry. To become a Fellow takes 500 hours of study and the passing of an examination beyond his original dental degree. He has also spent weeks at the L.D. Pankey Institute (a world renowned dental education facility), spent hundreds of hours learning the surgical and restorative techniques to place and restore dental implant and does most all of the oral surgery needed in his practice.
Dr. Murphy loves to travel with his wife Susan and has five children counting his two step-children. He is an avid sports fan and exerciser.
